Our Manila Adventure

Last wednesday, we drive to Manila to visit a sick cousin and see some relatives. It was a nice feeling seeing them again especially my cousin Merlen and Auntie Prospy, the sister of my mother. I know that in their hearts they are also happy because its been a while since we last saw them. Since we are already in Manila, we do some travelling down memory lane by taking photos where we live for more than three decades. We also shopped some christmas decors at a nearby Dapitan Arcade.

After our manila trip and bonding with my sisters, i was able to finish putting up christmas decoration as Astrid and Buddy's house. We also had lunch at our favorite japanese restaurant in nuvali feasting on maki pork sushi and tonkatsu.

Weight Loss Challenge

Some of my kids and grandkids are really gaining weight, they really have big appetite for foods. Though i am also overweight, i cannot lose the extra kilos because of my comorbidities. My immune system will tend to go down if i start any weight loss program and i will be more susceptible to the virus. I just try to regulate my food intakes on carbohydrates and fatty foods. Anyway, my daughter Astrid started a biggest loser challenge for some members of our family in which the winner will win 10 thousand pesos. From the period October 12 to December 15, they should lose at least more kilos to be declared a winner. The challenge is for their health and wealth being.

Rest in Peace Brother

My only brother Manuel or Awe as we fondly called him joined our creator last October 6 because of a lingering illness.  He is very sick for a long time and we are a witness to all his pain and sufferings. Though we already accept his fate, its still painful considering that we grew up together and live closely to each other. He was a good uncle and second father to my children. Though we do have some misunderstanding before which is normal among siblings, its now all part of the past. What is important is he surrendered himself to our Lord and repent for all his sins and shortcomings. Though its still pandemic, our family here and there supported/helped each other, distance and time is not a hindrance. He was buried last Sunday at Everlasting Peace and he will now be together with my mother. Brother, wherever you are, we love you and we know that you and our parents will watch us closely from above.

October Celebrants

My grandaughter Daphne Antonette and grandson Kieth shared the same birthdate. Daph turned 17 and she will be a debutante next year and Kitkit is now 11. Time flies really fast and i feel i'm getting older. Anyway, i wish them both all the best and hope they finish their studies and be a good example to others.
