Kim's Balikbayan Box

In our family, its already been 4 decades of sending balikbayan boxes which started from my sister who left the Philippines in the 70's to live in Germany, then my mother and german stepfather, yours truly who lived in Germany for more than ten years, then my daughter Rosebelle in Canada and Astrid in Qatar, now its the turn of my grandson Kim who is just 14 years old but work part time after school at Tim Hortons. Thank you very much apo, time flies so fast, i still remember sending you pampers from DM, your favorite gameboy, nike shoes and everything you wish. Now its you who ask what i want. Indeed, sending balikbayan boxes becomes a family tradition passed from one generation to another.

Rose Belle's Birthday

Yesterday my daughter Rose Belle celebrated her birthday in canada. It was her first time to celebrate birthday with her kids and loved ones around. It was just a simple celebration with family for she is busy concentrating on her leadership training in which she also finished before her natal day. To you anak, happy birthday and wishing you good health and more blessings. Thanks to your generosity to us and may all your goodness returns to you a thousand folds, we love u.

Mimi in Hospital

My grandaughter Mimi got sick of acute urinary tract infection. Thanks God she is fine now and already home but medication will continue to get rid of all the infections. Even in hospital bed, Mimi is thinking about school and she is worried that she will not be the top 1. My daughter Astrid assured her that eventhough she will not get the top post she will remained number one in our hearts.

Thirdy's New Haircut

My youngest grandson had his first haircut last weekend. Knowing Thirdy, he probably protested at first but the haircutter succeeded in changing his looks.

Southforbes Carolers

Two years ago, i joined the southforbes carolers adult edition and now its the turn of the younger ones. Of course they are accompanied by some homeowners and proceeds of their collections will go to the social fund of the subdivision for future projects.

Christmas is in the Air

December is the most awaited months especially for the kids. They are all excited because of the gifts that they are going to received and christmas parties to attend. Lucky are those who were born with a silver spoon in their mouth. But my heart also goes to those who dont haves and just contented with what they see around. Anyway, everybody feel the spirit of christmas rich or poor. I have a "not so happy" childhood because at a young age, we were trained by my mother to earn a living. I am proud of my mother though a single parent, she was able to raised and educate us. I have no regrets of the way my mother brought us but it served as inspiration for me to do it with my children. I am proud that i was able to educate them and now supporting a family of their own. Kudos to my daughters who works abroad and just spent christmas with friends instead of family. Anyway, reaching and celebrating with them is just one click away.
