Sunday at Alabang
After pampering ourselves with a relaxing massage at Banahaw Spa where we have a family lifetime membership, we then drive to the Alabang Town Center for lunch and window shopping. As usual, we choose the Fish and Co. for our fish and chips lunch. We also bought our tickets for the Master of Illusions at Ticketworld National Bookstore. Its also a nice feeling to see families bonding together on a sunny sunday. Because of the last day sale at Festival Mall, we were not able to get a parking spot but the Vivere Hotel on the other side of the mall do the job.

House Guests
We're already two weeks here since we arrive from our Nile River Cruise in Egypt and was very happy to entertained friends at home. Our first visitors were our neighbor friends here at Southforbes and my family/relatives who came for the 3rd part of my birthday celebration and Mothers day. We always welcome them with open arms and hearts.

The Spinner in Me
What a surprise when i found out that i was one of the best spinners at The Mills Bowling Lane. For the benefit of my non-bowler reader, there are different ways of delivering a bowling ball and spinning is one of the style. This technique is very popular here in Asia where a spinner rotates his/her wrist around the bowling ball during the release, causing the bowling ball to spin down the lane. The axis will be tilted high into the air and there are lots of 'horizontal' revs on the ball. The ball will travel down the lane in a straight line, regardless of the pattern. The approach of a spinner doesn't really differ much from that of a stroker. The player just lets the bowling ball swing, where the timing is perhaps a little bit 'late' but the most important part in which this style really differ from the others, is the release. This release is called the 'helicopter' or 'UFO' release and a spinner performs this release with relatively light weight bowling balls (10-12 lbs). Hopefully there will be no more record breaker but in the game or whatever sport, we always never know.

A Busy Monday
After a week of arriving here in the Philippines and all the celebrations done, we're back to our normal mode. We started the first day of the week driving to Makati to get our visa at the Chinese Embassy. We then browsed around Greenbelt, lunch at Fish and Chips, say a prayer of thanks at the church and shop at Landmark. We then proceeded to Wilcon in Alabang to buy some household tools then to Festival Mall for Dirk's slimming session. We also visited my mother's grave at Everlasting Peace Memorial Park then off to Banahaw Spa for one hour massage. We then shopped for our foods at South Supermaket near Paseo before calling it a day.

My Birthday Adventure
For a change, we decided to celebrate my birthday with my family on the road. The trip to Kamay ni Hesus and Isdaan Floating restaurant was a combined spiritual journey and leisure for the kids.

My Southforbes Friends
We're barely a week here and i'm very glad that some of our Southforbes neighbor friends visited us already. I missed them very much during our two month stay in Germany. We have lots of fun and they even tried some of the Zumba steps. Hopefully next week i will be able to join again our aerobics session.

Home Sweet Home
We're very happy to be back home after our two week trip to Cairo and the Nile River Cruise from Luxor to Aswan. The feeling is great to see my children and grandkids once again. We're still adjusting to the 6 hour difference and hopefully our body clock will return to normal soon.
By the way, Dirk was able to capture using our new camera the supermoon with its nice shape and image which seldom happen
