Philippine TV Series
We've been back for a month already here and i havent seen most of my friends yet. They are sending messages at FB and my reply was the most used words, "I'm still busy". When i borrowed from Joy the complete 9 cd's of a Filipino teleserye "Magkaribal", i promised to myself that i will just look at it once in a while. But the moment i started the tv series, i become hooked to it and very excited to know what happened next. One cd is more than four hours and you can just imagine my small eyes focused on the screen, eating dinner in front of the television and its good that the toilet is just next door. Aside from the compilation, i also watched everyday the delayed episode of TV5's new teleserye, Babaeng Hampaslupa and Nagbabagang Bulaklak.

Sunday with Joy
The weather here in Germany is really unpredictable, while its very sunny yesterday, now its raining the whole day. But the bad weather dont stop me from spending sunday with my BFF Joy. We also have a pitt stop at the Erdgas station in Offenburg for the much needed refuel. By the way many car owners installed gas/erdgas as a means of cost cutting because gasoline prices are increasing every now and then.
Today, i also prepared puto and banana cake for my close friends.

Rice Cooker
There's a joke circulating around the web that a filipino household without a rice cooker is just like Bruno without Mars and its just the way we are. Gone are the days of cooking rice in a pot and automatic rice cooker is very much in. Most of the filipino households now own a rice cooker and its actually more of a necessity. Learning to cook rice is one of the very first things my mother taught me and the same way i did with my own children. In my kitchen, i have four rice cookers in different sizes and i use it depending on the needs and occasions. Nowadays, however, cooking rice is as easy as boiling water and with the microwave rice cooker you can also cook rice in the microwave too.

The Face of Spring
I'm glad that Frühling is arriving in the coming days. After a long winter, the country sheds its layers and welcomes the beginning of the warm season with spring festivals and traditional easter celebrations. Even if its still cold and as soon as the first rays of sun comes out, many people started attending to their gardens, going to parks, outdoor cafes, soaking up the sun and enjoying the eagerly anticipated frühling season. But as any time of the year and with the climate change, the weather will still be unpredictable and spring seems to arrive hesitantly.
