Euro Cup 2012

We're back here in Germany and the excitement is very high for german football fanatics when Germany played against Italy today. Germany moved to the semi final rounds and the people showed their all out support for the german national team. Even my car named Panggay also joined the football fever.

Family Day

I really can't describe the feelings when my family are with us on the weekend. Though my children and grandchildren are not complete, i was able to do my role as a doting mom and granny. I am very happy when my grandchildren are around sharing their experiences in school and their daily activities. I will terribly missed them when we return to Germany.

Mimi's Birthday

Today, my cute grandaughter is celebrating her third birthday. I was not able to attend the simple celebration because of the Manila appointment. To you cutie Jamie, happy happy birthday and wishing you apo all the very best in life. Mama Lola loves you very much.

Saturday in Manila

We just came back from our Manila adventure where we attended the seminar for Franchising in Pasig City and bought a new wakeboard gadget in Horsehoe village in Quezon City. We briefly passed the Greenhills Shopping Center and was amazed by its improvement. I told Dirk that we should do our shopping there next time we return from Germany.

The first day of school is one of every child's biggest milestone. Last wednesday, my two grandaughters are very excited to attend their nursery class. Its the first time for Mimi while Ulay already attended a day care before. Ulay who is older cried and she was comforted by Mimi by telling her that she should not worry because they are together in class.

My daughter who is based in Canada gave me some gifts through the kind accomodation of a very good couple, Jim and Yna Haskett. My daughter is always joking that its payback time but i told her that i'm not expecting any in return from my children. Its enough that i already gave them some education to established their roots and its up to them to use their wings.

Foot Massage in Beijing

We have a very wonderful three-day trip to Beijing which involves a lot of walking to the main attractions like The Great Wall of China, The Forbidden City and many more. At the end of our trip, we pampered ourselves with a foot massage and it somehow rejuvenated our feet, legs and muscles.

Back to Normal

Thank God, my cholesterol levels is back to the normal range. For the past years, i'm battling with high cholesterol levels and i know its not healthy. So i tried to changed my diet and lifestyle, did a lot of exercise, took the Natures Aid cod liver oil with omega 3 capsule and fresh pineapple juice. I also eat more fruits now and shifted to chicken instead of pork. Hopefully i can still make the number lower.

My New Role

In my desire to serve God and the church in my own little way, i volunteered as wedding marshalls at St. Benedict Church near Ayala Westgrove. As first timer, i just assist and observed what the head marshalls are doing and i find it fulfilling. I really loved weddings and i enjoyed seeing those nicely dressed entourage and the newlyweds important moment of their lives. They also gave some of the flowers to me and i offered it to Mama Mary at home.

McDonalds Kiddie Crew 2012

Once again, my grandchildren and some of my nieces and nephews joined the McDonalds kiddie crew workshop. The program is a 5 day, 2 hour a week exposure helping out as a Mcdonald kiddie crew. In those 5 days, they did arts and crafts by putting colors on their own Mcdonald’s apron, team building activities, practiced for their production numbers for graduation and of course did their kitchen and counter work where they had the most fun. The wealth of learning and training they had is priceless proofs are the pictures below.
