After attending the holy mass at Ayala Westgrove in honor of the Feast of Santo Nino, we treated ourselves with pasta lunch at Pizza Hut. We then have our relaxing massage at Lynderm and shopped for our food needs at SM Supermarket. Its very noticeable the mall bonding of families at SM every weekend.
Deep fried donut is a much enjoyed snack in the Philippines. It is usually sold in the streets and we also called it bitso-bitso. The bakery in Paseo market has an extension donut store so i end up buying it freshly made. Round or long, this popular Filipino snack is an all-time favorite.
I just came back from our bowling stint at the Mills and Country Club with my dear friends. Unlike our "all-filipino" play last saturday, this game is with our respective "white partners". In between bowling and coffee, we have lots of fun exchanging jokes and the never ending girly talks.
It seems that the spaghetti house located at the new paseo becomes our favorite restaurant. Its because they are now offering a set menu which includes ice tea, pasta, small portion salad, rice and meat/fish dishes. The price quality relationship is good but they offer the combo meals from 11 to 2pm only.
Filipino families impulsively prefer malling during weekends and holidays. Its a sort of family bonding while doing some window shopping, eating and watching movie. Yesterday, we also browsed around festival mall and have lunch at Tia Maria's, our favorite mexican restaurant. The good thing here in the Philippines is that shopping centers and moviehouses are open the whole year round. In Germany, majority of the stores are closed and only the gasoline station and few coffee shops are open during sundays and holidays.
While the first ladies are busy with bowling, the men in our lives are playing billiard. Its really a good form of bonding with our friends and neighbors at Southforbes. Aside from playing bowling and billiard, Dirk also played Dart. The Mills Country Club now becomes our second home for sport activities.
