Moments with the Zarn

We have the opportunity to bond with the Zarn family during their 3 week stay in the Philippines. They are our family friends and soon to be neighbor. Through this blog, we want to wish them a merry christmas and a prosperous new year. I'm praying and hope that your dream house will be in reality soon.

Steak Madness

Today we did try to have lunch at a steak house in Alabang as per recommendation of our friends. Looking at the menu, the foods are really very very expensive. Though its out of the world pricey, we did ordered the house steaks specialty. When our order arrived, we were dissapointed on how they cook the steaks. Dirk argued with the manager, compromise but we'll never set our foot there again.

Dirk's Birthday

Today, my schatz started celebrating his birthday with a buffet lunch at Italian Restaurant at Paseo de Santa Rosa. It was then followed by a sumptuous dinner in the sky at Vivere Suite in Alabang. The big boy was very happy on his 55th birthday celebration for he is surrounded by his loving family and friends. Mutti at her age of 80 specially visited us here to celebrate with us.

The Ladies in Red

At my nephew's wedding yesterday, i prefer to wear red than follow the traditional motif of the wedding. For us sponsors, the couple did not demand us to wear something with violet, yellow and pink color. Though i can use my other gown with violet accent, i choose red its because i wanted to stand out, beside its one of the color of christmas and a lucky color too. Anyway, i am not the only one wearing red, my niece who is the elder sister of the groom also wore red outfit. We have both things in common, we shared the same birthmonth and zodiac sign.

Family Visit

Because of the wedding of my nephew, i stayed overnight at my youngest sister's house. And when Dirk and Mutti picked me up this morning, we visited the newly constructed house of my other sister at Southpeak. By the Way, its Dirk's 55th birthday today and we're going to have a dinner in the sky tonight with some friends. Celebration with the family will be on Friday.

Eco Friendly Christmas Tree

The Christmas tree is a decorated evergreen tree, real or artificial, and a tradition associated with the celebration of Christmas. For us Filipinos its isn't christmas without it. Here in our place there is an eco-friendly christmas tree contest. Yesterday, we did looked at some of the entries displayed at Paseo de Santa Rosa.
