Yesterday, we drive to South Forbes for Dirk's swimming. I also visited a friend who is renting our house and do a lot of errands. While my car is parked at Paseo, i noticed that i have a flat tire because of the nail. I immediately drive to the nearest car repair shop to have it fixed. I really thank God for always guiding us.
For a change, we decided to celebrate my birthday in Bohol. It was a good move for us because its good for our mental health. We were not able to travel for almost three years because of the pandemic and we are very happy because we enjoyed our trip a lot. We visited a lot of tourist attractions in Bohol like the chocolate hills, tarsier, blood compact, Baclayon church, mirror of the world and many more. I even celebrated my birthday while cruising the Loboc River. We've been in Bohol before but this time its more enjoyable because of the added attractions. I am very thankful to God for the gift of life and love, and our safe travels.
This is a late post because of our Bohol trip. Last May 9, i exercised my right to vote as a citizen of this country at Langgam Elementary School. It was fast because i am a senior citizen and i go to the polling place very early because of our flight. Anyway, we now have a new President in the person of Bongbong Marcos and Vice President Sara Duterte. Twelve senators were also elected and here in San Pedro, we also have a new Mayor which cuts the political dynasty. Anyway, we just hope that these newly elected government officials will do what they promised to the people.
Happy mother's day to all great moms out there, the heartbeat in all our homes. It is the day we give honor and to appreciate their contributions, sacrifice and unconditional love to the family. Today, we just have a very simple celebration at our family home. Its a nice feeling to be with family and i am very happy that all my daughters and daughters in law are good mothers.
Yesterday is the 16th death anniversary of my beloved mother. I still remember flying from Portugal to Germany to Manila to be able to attend to her wake and burial. We visited her grave at Everlasting Peace Memorial Park and i know she is really very happy in heaven together with our other loved ones.
Maybe its a coincidence that her death anniversary is always close to Mother's day. To you Nay, happy mother's day in heaven and we love you dearly.
