Dengue

Dengue fever is a disease transmitted by a mosquito bite. It is an acute illness of sudden onset that usually follows a benign course with symptoms such as headache, fever, exhaustion, severe muscle and joint pain, swollen glands and rashes. After days of continued raining in our area which submerged most of the metropolis and nearby provinces, my grandaughter is experiencing the symptoms of Dengue. Laboratory tests confirmed her sickness and needs hospital confinement. Thank God that she's already well and back to her normal activities. However neither vaccine nor drugs for preventing infection are available for dengue, we should just be really careful and maintains cleanliness.

The Solar Power

Solar power in Germany has been growing considerably due to the country's feed-in tariffs for renewable energy and its one of the world's top photovoltaics (PV) installers. A feed-in tariff is the most effective means of developing solar power. It is the same as a power purchase agreement, but is at a much higher rate. As the industry matures, it is reduced and becomes the same as a power purchase agreement. A feed-in tariff allows investors a guaranteed return on investment - a requirement for development. Most of the houses here in our area has solar panels and i think it will also works in the Philippines where we have lots of sun the whole year round.

Panggay's Visitors

Everyday my Panggay has an unwanted visitors. At least three cats played in my car as soon as it is parked in the garage and i have no options but to clean it every morning.

Philippine Floods- Ondoy Part 2

For the nth time, Manila and other parts of Luzon has experienced severe rains and flooding for several days. Thank God that our place was not affected and i also gave some help to the victims. The heavy floods covered half of the Philippine capital and pounded the nearby provinces. Water levels reached over some residents' head in several districts. The flooding crippled traffic, shut down the stock market, and prompted schools and government offices to close. The weeks of non-stop rains have killed at least 60 people and thousands of families rendered homeless. And as usual, the blaming game starts again....

Mabel and Me in the City

I have another wonderful moment with Mabel and her kids in Offenburg. I missed them very much being my extended family here in Germany. Over lunch at Karstadt and while the kids are playing, we were able to talked about our family life. We also did some girly shopping and bought some toys for the kids.
By the way, we have another blessing in the family today, the birth of Hailey Jade Rosas, the youngest child of my son Anthony.
