Last Day in Paradise

We left Boracay yesterday with a heavy heart. As much as we wanted to stay longer, we have a lot of unfinished business here in Manila. Anyway, next time if our schedule and purse permits, its just one hour away from Manila. By the way, our last day was spent:

walking along the beach

watching the people enjoying the beach, Boracay was full of local and foreign tourists

lunch at Pancake House

watching the sunset

buffet dinner at La Carmela

watching magic show for a cause

photo ops with dear friends

Nigi Nigi Resort Hotel

When we first came here in Boracay ten years ago, we stayed at Nigi Nigi Resort hotel. They have a very nice cottages, the foods and service was great. We tried other hotels during our subsequent visits but we always eat and stay in their restaurant most of the day because of food and internet access. Last night, they have a special pork ribs night. Guests can eat all the grilled ribs they can with unlimited beer as well. Dirk enjoyed very much eating the pork ribs, others are not lucky enough because the restaurant run out of stock.

Its very nice to look at the sunset in Boracay. For the past days it seemed that the sun was overwhelmed by cloudy skies that we dont notice the sunset. But yesterday late afternoon, we have luck.

Friday's Rock

After our sumptuous lunch at Discovery Shores, we did walked to our memorable place in the area, teh Fridays rock. Its a unique rock formation and above the rock is the statue of Mama Mary. At the top of the rocks, i can meditate and talk to our mother on earth.

Boracay's Night Life

After our dinner last night, we decided to listen to live music at Wave Boracay. We enjoyed the music played by the band and the fire dancers were also equally good. The price of the drinks was somehow pricey but its all worth it.

Boracay: The Paradise Island

Boracay is one of the world's best beaches. Through the years it continues to amazed beach loving tourists to its sun bleached shores of powder-soft white sands. After 3 years, we found ourselves again in this paradise. The island is the silent witness to our blooming relationship, 10 years and still counting. I enjoy the tranquility offered by the island and the blue waters though i am not a water person.
