The Tokyo Pool

After visiting Marianne & Ulli's farm in Canlubang, they decided to have an afternoon dip in the pool. The first choice was Phuket pool but the lifeguard said that they just cleaned the pool and put chlorine in it. So we then drive to the Tokyo Pool and there's an ongoing birthday celebration of the son of one of the provincial Mayor. It's really a wonderful sunday for the Bachmann and Krause family.

Above is the Phuket pool located at Phuket Mansions and below is the Tokyo pool for Tokyo Southforbes residents.

Garden Visitors

While watering our plants yesterday, Dirk found two visitors in our garden. The black ants are our permanent residents there and unwanted visitors are welcome as long as they are outside the house.

Star Mall Alabang

The last time i've been at Star Mall in Alabang was ten years ago when it was still called Metropolis. It's the most popular Mall during that time and up to now its still the biggest bargain center. Other stores in Alabang includes Festival Mall and Alabang Town Center.

It rained very hard on our way to Star Mall to play bowling with a family friend. Because its an old shopping center, there's already some leaks evident by the containers below.

Pig Out

Last night the Krause couple, Ulli and Marianne visited us again at home. We then have dinner at a suburban-chic style Pig Out restaurant and enjoy not just the food but the green surroundings as well. Tucked in the pleasant and bright Nuvali commercial and residential district in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, Pig Out restaurant is a a family grill house that serves heavy comfort food perfect for young and old alike.
Specialties include Filipino favorites like Crispy Pata with crunchy skin and tender meat; Pork Baby-Back Ribs with Smokey BBQ Sauce; and Prawns Coco Crab Fat—prawns in shell topped with rich aligue in coconut milk.

Monterey Meat Products

Filipinos love to eat. As early retirees here in the Philippines, we became health conscious and very choosy when it comes to our food source. Dirk liked very much the barbeque sticks óf Monterey and our supply of meat and chicken came from them. They even deliver our order right in front of our doorstep. Truly, Monterey meat products are part of everyday Filipino life. With its "farm to market" concept, the Filipino consumer is assured of quality meats for every meal.

A Relaxing Sunday

We spend our sunday celebrating Buddy's 20th birthday at Grace&Rose Restaurant. My grandkids also take advantage of their last day of vacation here at Southforbes by swimming at the clubhouse pool together with other kids. We also watched DVD's and sunday programs in television. The kids then played and walked around our three beautiful shihtzu's.

They also played volleyball with their Uncle Dirk later in the afternoon.

Bloom Party at Paseo

Today we attended a Bloom party at Plaza Regina in Paseo de Santa Rosa. An open-air event was held to present the new stores along Paseo 4. In the forefront was a Japanese Ryuma store which dominated the whole second floor with their ramen, grill & restaurant, grocery and branded toys and clothing for children

Paseo de sta. rosa had gone a long way to expand and build a bigger place to shop, dine, party and have fun in the middle of the suburban area. The bloom party was also an opportunity for car dealers to showcase their new cars.

There's also live music and a short program

We're lucky in the choice of our retirement home, its near manila, the nature, airports and the presence of low to high end stores.
