Being an early retiree evokes thoughts of an easy and fun-filled life. But life is not that easy if you don't have the means to support all the needs here. Our life here is more simpler and relaxed compared to our life in Germany. But retirement in the Philippines can sometimes turn out another way when certain considerations are not taken seriously. The best thing in life are all not free, you need to work for it and most important you need a retirement plan.
We enjoy living here and all the amenities of our country for a fraction of the cost. I liked it very much that i'm near with my children and grandkids and being part of their lives. I have peace of mind here than living thousand miles away. My kids are busy with their own life but i'm just a call and text away.

All in One Day
After spending a few days in our place, Rosebelle and Kim decided to return to our house in San Pedro. Astrid and Buddy also wanted to spend the weekend there with our two shih tzu's. It's a good feeling to see again my other children and grandkids.
We then visited my mother's grave at Everlasting Memorial Park.
Since my sister's place is just around the area, we decided to visit the ongoing construction of her house at Filinvest Southpeak. Dirk was surprised with the fast development of the house.
We then have a late lunch at Shakeys and at 4pm we drive to Makati to attend the Swiss night at the German Club. We were also able to buy some fabric for dirk's pants and blouse for me. We browsed around the shops including the high-end ones at Greenbelt 4.

Lunch at King Bee
Yesterday, we decided to have lunch at King Bee, a chinese restaurant in front of Paseo de Santa Rosa. I really like their pork siomai and yang chow fried rice while dirk loved their crispy pansit. The foods are soooo delicious and the price are reasonable that we became a regular customer.
In the afternoon, Dirk and Remy, a future neighbor came for a visit. We discussed about the design of their dream house and other issues regarding house construction.

A Busy Weekend
There's really no end for housework. It's good that my daughters are staying with us and they're a big help in maintaining the house. Caring for three shih tzu's are no joke as well. They are just kids that needs attention and proper caring.
It's playtime
We're also curious about the Pinoy restaurant nearby and in fairness the food tastes delicious at a reasonable price.

Happy Mother's Day !!!
I'm going to be busy tomorrow so i'm going to greet in advance all mothers in this world and that also includes grandmothers, mother-in laws, godmothers, aunts, nuns, stepmothers, caretakers/nannies with motherly concern and above all to my departed mother who celebrated her 4th death anniversary last May 6. Happy Mother's Day to all especially to our mother in heaven, Mama Mary.
Motherhood is still the most important job in all the world. Nothing else can compare the hardship and hardwork our mothers did to us. They always worked hard and stood the test of time doing their best for our well-bing and our future.
