Monterey Meat Products

Filipinos love to eat. As early retirees here in the Philippines, we became health conscious and very choosy when it comes to our food source. Dirk liked very much the barbeque sticks óf Monterey and our supply of meat and chicken came from them. They even deliver our order right in front of our doorstep. Truly, Monterey meat products are part of everyday Filipino life. With its "farm to market" concept, the Filipino consumer is assured of quality meats for every meal.

A Relaxing Sunday

We spend our sunday celebrating Buddy's 20th birthday at Grace&Rose Restaurant. My grandkids also take advantage of their last day of vacation here at Southforbes by swimming at the clubhouse pool together with other kids. We also watched DVD's and sunday programs in television. The kids then played and walked around our three beautiful shihtzu's.

They also played volleyball with their Uncle Dirk later in the afternoon.

Bloom Party at Paseo

Today we attended a Bloom party at Plaza Regina in Paseo de Santa Rosa. An open-air event was held to present the new stores along Paseo 4. In the forefront was a Japanese Ryuma store which dominated the whole second floor with their ramen, grill & restaurant, grocery and branded toys and clothing for children

Paseo de sta. rosa had gone a long way to expand and build a bigger place to shop, dine, party and have fun in the middle of the suburban area. The bloom party was also an opportunity for car dealers to showcase their new cars.

There's also live music and a short program

We're lucky in the choice of our retirement home, its near manila, the nature, airports and the presence of low to high end stores.

Funny Moments

My youngest sister's family enjoyed their two-day stayed with us. We did go to Nasugbu, Batangas and enjoyed the sun, sea and the blue skies. We have a pampering mode on the second day and the kids funny games in the evening. The marks on their faces are the number of penalties they received on the game.

Family Bonding

It's the second day of my sister and her family in our place. It's a succesful day because our car was repaired and we pampered ourselves a little bit. Joey, my brother in law had his executive foot spa, manicure for me, facial for my sister and all of them are now sporting a new haircut. Joey also had his ear problem solved by visiting an EENT specialist at FortMed. But the most important is the family bonding, its the first time that they stayed with us and my brother in law is going to return to the US next week after a 3-week vacation here.

Our lunch was at Shakeys and dinner at home.

Our Bedroom

Always leading the avant-grade of fashion without compromising traditional craftsmanship of luxury goods, louis vuitton is truly a symbol of wealth and prestige. It's my favorite brand and even decorated our bedroom with an LV theme. Take a peek into our bedroom with LV inspired bed sheet and pillows.

By the way, yesterday we have lunch at Flavours of China. It's a good sight how we as filipinos are taking care of our elders. It's a picture in contrast, the old lady and a newborn baby, both getting the love and care they deserved.

An Afternoon with the Krause

Yesterday, the Krause family, Ulli, Marianne and Liz came to visit us. They live in the nearby subdivision and we've known them in the social networking. Ulli is the man behind the blog muttis-store.blogspot.com We met them last year and since then we're in contact with them through the internet. We really enjoyed the afternoon with them.

Liz liked very much our shih tzu dog cha-cha.

Swimming at clubhouse pool.

Dinner at Grace and Rose Restaurant. I was not able to eat because of the acid in my stomach. I throwed up three times in the restaurant and non-stop at home. Up to now my stomach is jumping up and down.

They gave us a basket of fruits as a present

Hands Full, Full House

It's supposed to be a grand vacation here, days of rest and relaxation but we as early retirees had our hands full everyday. We have three small dogs to attend to and the never ending house work. Dirk served as our gardener to save on costs and my daughters clean the house. Of course, i also have my share, i do the laundry, ironing and sometimes cooking.

Afternoon Delight

After our southwoods golf club adventure yesterday, we did drive to SM Santa Rosa to buy computer gadgets. We were delighted to watch a lot of people watching Talentadong Pinoy hosted by Ryan Agoncillo. The contestants showed their talents and colorful costumes.

To beat the hot weather, a lot of people stayed in shopping malls because of the aircondition. It's still summer vacation for school kids so they just enjoyed the rides offered at SM.

We met Rosebelle and my eldest sister there buying house and school items. Every school opening is a big burden for most parents whose income is not enough. I encountered the same before when all my children are still in school. Now, i still have two kids who are not yet finished in their schooling.
